Alafia 2025 is the second edition of the UK’s largest Afro-Cuban dance festival, taking place over three vibrant days at the Acosta Dance Centre and Woolwich Works. Open to dancers of all levels, the festival features 21 hours of workshops led by celebrated Cuban artists and musicians, covering styles such as Yoruba, Arará, Abakuá, Makuta, Rumba, and Salsa, alongside live music and two evening parties.
In parallel, Alafia Kids invites children aged 6–12 into the world of Afro-Cuban culture through dance, music, rhythm, crafts, and storytelling. Each day, children explore a different orisha through themed activities, documentaries, and live music workshops, all in a safe and nurturing environment aligned with strict safeguarding standards.
Whether you’re a professional dancer, a beginner, or a young participant, Alafia offers a deep dive into the richness of Afro-Cuban traditions.
